Wisdom is knowledge put into action.

Proverbs 13         June 13, 2012
Memory Verse: Proverbs 13:24   “He that spareth his rod hateth his son, but he that loveth him chastens him betimes.”

Today’s proverb is dedicated to Wisdom. Wisdom is simply knowledge put into action. Just like faith, we have to have the knowledge of what we have done and what Jesus did for us. We also have to take the knowledge, experiences, and training we have had to develop Wisdom. Wisdom and faith are both achievable goals reached through our knowledge and His grace. For instance:
1)      Intelligent child listens to sound teaching; foolish ones do their own thing
2)      Honesty trusts/develops conversation; authority haters prefer violence
3)      Careful words encourage; careless talk can ruin everything
4)      Lazy want but will not get; energetic are rewarded
5)      Good hate lies; bad people wallow in gibberish
6)      Righteousness keeps safe; sin dumps the evil one
7)      Showy life is an empty life; simple life is full
8)      Rich can be sued, but poor are free from such threats
9)      Good people lives are well lit; wicked lives are dark alleys
10)  Pride produces fighting; wisdom is with the quiet in spirit
11)  Easy come, easy go; but, diligence pays off
12)  Disappointment is heart breaking; a good break can turn a life around
13)  Ignore the Word and suffer; honor God’s commands for wealth
14)  Teaching of the wise is a fountain of life; turn away from contaminated wells
15)  Wise behavior is approved, liars face destruction
16)  Wise men use knowledge; foolish believes his own foolish thoughts
17)  Irresponsible talk ruins; reliable witness heals
18)  Refuse training and be homeless; embrace correction to be honored
19)  Good people follow heart; fools will not give up evil ways
20)  Associate with good for wisdom or foolish to be broken
21)  Evil overtakes sinners, but the upright are rewarded
22)  Heritage of good man passes down, the heritage of the foolish passes on
23)  Food on the land of the poor is taken away by wrongdoing (whose?)
24)  Not correcting shows no love; love by discipline
25)  Appetite for good is satisfied; belly of wicked only wants more
